Remembering Andrew

Andrew Walker Hindman was born in San Rafael, Ca 11/18/1969 to Thomas (Tim) and Anne Hindman. He would later be joined by his brother Matthew Hindman a few years later. They moved to Sacramento where he grew up and graduated from Rio Americano High School in 1987.He collected several trophies and set records in Football, Baseball and Basketball. Andrew was named MVP Most Valuable Player in Football during his Senior Year. He went on to UC Davis and then traveled to southern California where he attended Jr. Colleges while surfing,  enjoying his youth, and developing his natural talent for art. He eventually ended up in Santa Cruz and graduated with an Art Degree from San Jose State. He moved back to Sacramento and was a working Artist in North Sacramento in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. He met his wife Sharon and her two children Jasmine and Jalen and joined lives and homes in 2005. Andrew and Sharon collaborated together to create beautiful artwork and then in 2007 created their son Ethan! For the following 14 years (through 2022) Andrew continued to be an oil painter and built his fine art reproduction business. Sharon joined him in 2017 to co-own Hindman Fine Arts and opened a print gallery as well. A few years later they were finding more time for each other as the kids grew to be adults and their son Ethan was starting high school. Andrew loved to travel in his Westfalia Vanagon camper and take the family on trips. He also became an avid tennis player along the way and was competing in recreation leagues throughout the Sacramento area. Andrew loved hiking, fishing, backpacking, paddleboarding, and fixing up the Vanagon to ensure it was ready for all of the future travel adventures that he and Sharon dreamed of. Andrew was proud of the older two kids being in college and Ethan springboard diving for his high school. Andrew's art customers always raved about how accurate and precise his color matching skills were when he was reproducing and proofing their artwork. He was highly regarded by his customers by being the best at creating museum quality replicas of their art pieces. Andrew was loved by all, but unfortunately, Andrew passed away from a combination of a heart attack and an abrupt and massive stroke on January 27, 2022. Andrew was able to be visited by his adoring mother Anne, and his wife and the kids. Andrew passed peacefully with Sharon by his side and a close family friend playing harp next to his bedside to ease his transition from this life to his own personal heaven at the ocean. Andrew’s legacy will live on through his family and friends who will always remember the impact he had on them. Andrew’s artwork will always be cherished by his many collectors. We will all miss Andrew’s presence in our lives and know that he is free from pain and suffering and will be waiting for us to join him at the beach.
